Harper's
Bazaar April 06 Suzi is a fully qualified natural healer and a STAT registered teacher of the Alexander Technique for 28 years
The
Alexander Technique is a way of releasing unwanted tensions from the mind
and body. It helps us to become aware of how we go about our daily activites
such as sitting, standing, walking running and even sleeping. Most of us create tensions in our bodies through bad habits. Millions of office working days are lost due to backache, caused by bad posture when slouching and hunching over computers. This can lead on to headaches, insomnia, stress, depression, neck and shoulder problems and repetitive strain injuries. By a series of one to one lessons, the Alexander Technique teacher helps re-educate the body. People often change shape and become taller , freer, more elastic and younger looking, as tensions are released and posture improves. It also brings a feeling of well-being and confidence. People
come to learn the Alexander Technique from all walks of life; actors and
singers with voice and breathing problems, musicians such as violinists
with a frozen shoulder, pregnant women suffering from intense backache,
office workers, football players and atheletes with strained muscles and
tendons. Click here to view pictures of Suzi with a client Suzi
